TRAINING
1. When is the next training?
At the time (May, 2011) there are no scheduled open trainings. Please check our page with dates of upcoming appearances by our staff where you may be able to partake in a training hosted by an organization from or near your area.
2. How much does a training cost?
There are many factors influencing the cost of training such as whether you are an individual wishing to attend, or are looking to host a Rockwood training event. Costs for hosting a Rockwood training event depend on the costs for travel and other expenses for the trainer, and the number of trainers required. There are also a number of training options which also influence the overall costs, such as the number of days of the event. If you would like Rockwood to provide training to your organization, or you would like to host a Rockwood training event, please contact us at training@rockwoodpsyc.com for more details on costs.
The training fee for an individual attending, for example, a three-day event hosted by Rockwood Psychological Services, including all materials, is typically around $600.00 per person. When space is available students receive a discount.
3. How long is the training?
As noted above, trainings can be for one or more days. Three- and five-day trainings are the most commonly requested by organizations. Three- and five-day trainings can allow for intensive work with therapists who have some experience, and/or, for a mixture of presentation to a larger audience along with time for specialists.
4. Can I be trained by visiting RPS?
Yes. Although it should be noted that we take on very few visitors in order to not overload our staff, and there is a relatively small fee for this as well to cover administrative and other costs associated with having visitors. Persons wishing to visit Rockwood Psychological Services from economically disadvantaged countries or those where there is little support for this type of work, are encouraged to contact RPS where the visitor fee may be waived.
